This week's speaker
This week's program was a visit from the current Executive Director of the San Benito County Arts Council, Jennifer Lane.  She last visited the club in 2019.

Jennifer provided us with the history of the Arts Council.  She went on to say the San Benito Arts Counsel is an entrepreneurial, nimble, collaborated nonprofit that provides art programming and serves as a connector, investor, advocate and leader for the arts in San Benito County. Its Board of Directors is supported by a growing number of people and organizations that includes state and local governments, school districts, private and public foundations, individuals and businesses. They are in the historic train depot and referred to as the Art Depot. The have a small staff of teachers.  These teachers help put art into schools. They started by painting utility boxes with murals around town and this is the scheduled to continue.  The Washington Street under pass in San Juan Bautista is currently having a mural painted on it and Jennifer encouraged us to drive by and see the progress.

Jennifer reminded us that April is the Arts, Culture and Creativity month.
