The meeting was called to order by President Rich Marcus at 12:15 PM.

Larry Shaw lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Gordon Machado gave the Thought for the Day.

President Rich asked members to share some of their Thanksgiving experiences.  Dave Westrick had turkey cake; Byran Yamaoka had 69 people over for dinner and served Mansmith's smoked turkey; Mike Sanchez's family got together and totaled 65 people.

Bill Tiffany reported that 178 runners have signed up for Mission 10 as of this week.  More to follow. Bill asked that members consider being a sponsor, and also to refer and companies that would consider being a sponsor.  Also Bill asked everyone to be available on Saturday, January 27th to help. Signup sheets will be available at our next meeting.

The raffle ticket for the $38 pot was won by Bob Tiffany but he did not pick a winner.  The raffle ticket for the $52+ pot was won by Geri Menold but she also did not pick a winner.  The raffle pot grows again!

Dave Westrick was our detective this week.  Dave filled in for Gordon Machado who did not receive his emails.  Dave asked questions on current sporting events and club members activities.  He also fined Bill Tiffany $5 for being recognized a Philanthropist of the Year but Jayme Stewart volunteered to pay $10 for Bill and herself for missing meetings.   Dave did a good job filling in for Gordon.

This Week's Program

The program this week was presented by Mia Casey, the Mayor of Hollister.

Mia reported that there was a large turnout for the Lights on Parade on Saturday, November 28th.  It was encouraging to see so many adults and children for the parade.

Mia also reviewed infrastructure projects underway and planed. The city received grants for the airport, and broadband; they have $1 million dollars for road paving; the city purchased a house near the post office that will be used for offices for city services; Hill Top Park was refurbished to be used for Junior Giants baseball; and the city has hired three additional police officers.

She also discussed programs for city engagement meetings.  She wants the city to be more proactive rather than reactive.
