The Area 6 Community Project atthe San Benito County Historical Park is fast approaching. Area 6 clubs include (Hollister, San Juan Bautista, Gilroy, Gilroy Sunrise, Morgan Hill and Almaden Valley) The Area 6 clubs formed a collaboration called the Area 6 International Service Committee or (World Community Service 6) over 10 years ago to pool together District Designated Funds that come from your Rotary International contributions. The RI contributions are invested for a 3 year cycle and then allocated back to the clubs in the Districts. Each year the Area 6 International Service Committee funds 2-3 Global Projects around the world, and also funds a community project which rotates each year through the Area 6 clubs. This year it is Hollister's turn, so let's unite in service and show the community our dedication here locally and globally. Remember that these projects are made possible by YOUR Rotary International Contributions.

PETS is an intensive and inspirational training weekend for all incoming Rotary Presidents who will begin their leadership year on July 1st.
The highlights of PETS for Amalia were:
"Hearing Past Presidents Richard D. King and Cliff Dochtermann speak. It was an honor to have had the opportunity to see both of them speak at PETS. I've been lucky enough to hear them speak at other functions in the past as well."
"Having the opportunity to meet and speak with Incoming Rotary International President, Ian Risely and his wonderful wife Juliet. Ian and Juliet were so warm and friendly. Ian is also a wonderful speaker. I'm very excited about his goals for the upcoming year and how he plans to make a Rotary difference in the world."
"Spending a ton of time learning and networking with other Rotarians and President Elects. It was inspiring and we had a ton of fun too!"
