Longtime resident of Almaden Valley, Angie Hassler, assumed leadership of Rotary District 5170 on July 1.
Hassler has been a member of the Rotary Club Almaden Valley since 1991. She was their president in 2000-2001 and two and a half years ago was selected to lead the district which encompasses, Alameda, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz and San Benito counties.
"All of the clubs in my district do so many humanitarian projects, not only in their own neighborhoods but also throughout the world," says Hassler. "I am so humbled and proud to lead this district during 2013-14."
Members this is the annual visit we receive from our Governor so we would like to see as many of you as possible. Angie's Husband Roger Hassler will be with us as well as Assistant Governer Linda Sanborn. Please remember to bring the underwear for Roger's homeless project! (all sizes & gender as well as socks). Susan Fixen has graciously volunteered to monitor this as well as take any $$ donations and she will go out & purchase on your behalf if needed.
