As the San Jose Giants President and CEO, Daniel Orum oversees the club's business strategy and all aspects of the minor league operation, including stadium operations, marketing, sales, sponsorship, finance, customer service and player services. He works closely with the board of directors and executive staff to help grow San Jose's status as a perennial postseason contender and to provide top level customer service experience for San Jose Giants fans. Orum also serves as the primary liaison with the San Francisco Giants Major League club.
He is also a former professional basketball player spending two years with the Basket Club Franconville in France. Following his playing career, he consulted in the launch and consumer marketing of several National Football League based fan magazines and also served as director of publications for the Oakland A's Baseball Club. Prior to joining the San Jose Giants in 2012, Orum was an accomplished digital media executive who served as president of AFAR Media in San Francisco, President and CEO of Gamepro Media and President of Internet Operations for Oxygen Media.
