Lauren Seaver anchors KSBW Action News 8 Sunrise with Anchor Brittany Nielsen, Meteorologist Art Jarrett, and Traffic Reporter Michele Allen Monday through Friday from 5 a.m.-7 a.m.

Born and raised on the Big Island of Hawaii, Lauren graduated from California State University, Chico in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies and a minor in Public Administration.

She began her reporting career at KHSL/KNVN in Chico after a semester long internship and moved to Jacksonville, Florida, in 2012 to report for WAWS/WTEV.

Working at KSBW Action News 8 is literally a dream come true for Lauren. Her aunt Marilyn Getas used to anchor the 5 p.m. newscast with Dan Green in 1998. Lauren remembers visiting her and imagining the day she might sit at the news desk. She has many family members in the area and is thrilled to make the Central Coast her home. In her free time Lauren likes going to the beach with her husband and dog Griffey. She also enjoys running, volunteering, and dancing the hula.
