August 6, 2016 - Hollister Rotary serves up 1000 hot dogs for Stuff the Bus

The Rotary Club of Hollister was proud to sponsor this year's Stuff the Bus. A program of United Way of San Benito County in partnership with San Benito County Office of Education. Education is an area of focus for Rotarians worldwide in an effort to improve life for all. Stuff the Bus provides backpacks and school supplies to San Benito County County children who might not have the resources to be prepared for school and ready to learn. This year the club also grilled and provided 1000 hot dogs for everyone who came to pick up or drop off school supplies at the Target parking lot on August 6. Thank you to all the members who came out and donated their time for a great cause. Special thanks to member Larry Barr for leading the charge on the grill out.

Crunch Time for Mission 10 Race, 2017

Mission 10 Race Countdown - 46 Days Until Race Day!
We need everyone's help to make this an even more successful year than ever before. Last year we had a huge year with record attendance and raised close to $27,000 for community programs and scholarships. If you haven't signed up to volunteer yet, please see or contact Bob Marden. Please help us promote this race by sharing on social media and posting flyers at your businesses.

Hollister Rotary sends Past President Cathy Buck (2015-2016) off with a Bang

Thank you to Past President (2014-2015) Robert Freiri for taking the charge to organize Cathy Bunks debunking and roast. It is an election year, so naturally the roast took a few funny and awkward cues from the competing candidates for the US presidential race. Thank you to everyone for making it a fun night, especially to those members who participated on the committee. Thank you Cathy Buck for an excellent year of leadership.

PR Chair and International Service Director, Amalia Ellis is honored with Rotarian of the Year Award for 2015-2016

President Cathy Buck presented Director/Member Amalia Ellis at her debunking/roast with the Rotarian of the Year Award.
Amalia has been instrumental in building a branded website, newsletter and social media presence for the club since joining in 2013. Her service has helped build the awareness and promotion of fundraisers such as the Mission 10 Race, YMCA & Rotary Charity Golf Tournament, SBC Saddle Horse Show and Rodeo, SBC Olive Festival, etc. Amalia also serves as the International Service Director, collaborating with Area 6 clubs to make an impact globally on social and humanitarian issues.
